Hello everyone! I am LegosRAwesome from the U.S., and I am excited to be able to share some awesome Lego stuff with you!
Some of you may already know me from Lego Ideas, which is my "home base", but just in case you don't, here's some quick background on me: When I was 5, I got my first Lego set, the Creator yellow plane, set 6745 "Propeller Power", and I pretty much have been building ever since. My favorite sets are the 2013 line of Star Wars Episode II sets, especially the Republic Gunship (set 75021). I also really, really, really like Castle, LOTR, etc. (PLEASE Lego, bring them back!).
What is Lego Ideas? I've used the term once and I'm sure that you're curious! It's a platform that allows users to share their builds with the world; and, if they get to 10,000 supporters, they stand a chance of getting it turned into a real Lego set! Examples that I'm sure that you've seen are 21318 Tree House and 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay. The only catch, of course, is that you have to have an account to support your favorites. If you don't already have one, I highly suggest that you get a one since that is the main purpose of this blog: to share super cool ideas with you. Each week (Or possibly every other week, [or around there, I might forget, or be on vacation, or a million other things]), I will share my favorite model with you. In addition, when I put up a model of my own, I will also put that up here, and give you updates as it gains support.
These models that I show you will be selected according to how well they are presented, building techniques used, and, most importantly, their originality, something I like to call Building Off The Baseplate.
